The challenge
Whilst working at Native Instruments my team and I were asked to redesign the Looploft website within 4 weeks in order to increase conversion.
Here are some images of the website before the redesign:
My Role
I led the UX Design and research effort within a cross-functional agile team.
Activities
Within four weeks I helped facilitate a Google design sprint with key stakeholders and development, recruited and tested prototypes with users, iterated on designs and worked closely with development to ensure quality.
Process Highlights
We began with a 5 day design sprint.
User Research and Competitive Analysis
Sketching and Wireframes
High Fidelity MockUPS and Clickable PrototypeS
The Solution
We were able to design, test and iterate in a short amount of time and ultimately increased conversion.
Here are some of the changes we made based on user feedback:
A new consistent design aesthetic that felt “modern” and “familiar” to our users.
Improved navigation prioritized by Instrument and Artist.
Improved product detail page with focus on being able to preview sounds before purchase.
Improved product listing page with new filter functionality.
We provided information throughout site explaining value proposition of the Looploft.
Research indicated users did not always know who our artists were so we provided areas to explain this within context.
